Italian Language Courses
Italian Language Courses
We are dedicated to promoting the study of the Italian Language in Miami Dade Public Schools, as well as through private courses for children and teenagers.
We structured our classes in 3 different levels: beginners (Primi Passi), intermediate (Esplorando l’italiano) and advanced (Adesso parlo io!). Each level is divided into two courses of 10 hours each.
We have organized our classes so that children of the same age group are together. But any child who is ready for the next level is welcome to join another group.

Primi Passi 1 and 2
This is a basic course. The children will learn basic information like colors, numbers and simple words. Depending on the age of the group, the professor will diversify her/his teaching method. Young kids will have the opportunity to play games, while teenagers will use a text. The book is not required for this level; in fact photocopies will be provided by the teacher. This level is divided in two courses, 1 and 2, each of 10 lessons.
Esplorando l’Italiano 3 and 4
This is an intermediate course. The training is focused on enriching the Italian vocabulary; some grammar will be taught in order for the children to sustain a simple conversation. Cartoons or simple documentaries will be shown. This level requires the purchase of a book, sold at ODLI or online. To complete this level, the student has to attend both courses 3 and 4.
Adesso parlo io! 5 and 6
This is the last step for a confident knowledge of the Italian Language. More grammar will be introduced with an extensive training in conversation. Depending on the interests of the group, the teacher will lead the children through different lectures, stories, movies and documentaries. To complete this level, students have to attend both courses 5 and 6.
