O.D.L.I. has organized lectures by distinguished speakers such as the late Dr. Rosa Trillo Clough of the Centro di Studi Italiani of Palm Beach who presented “Arte moderna italiana from 1840 to 1996”; the eloquent Prof. Myriam Ruthenberg of Florida Atlantic University who presented the lecture “Why learn Italian ?” Prof Gwyn Davis of Florida International University has collaborated with Miami Intelligence with the lecture “Caesar calculated gamble”.
In 2001, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy, and the Dante Alighieri Society, O.D.L.I. organized the First Forum on the Italian Language with local South Florida Universities such as Florida Atlantic University, the University of Miami, Barry University, and Florida International University.
Every year O.D.L.I. organizes and funds the Staff Development Course for all teachers of Italian in collaboration with the Educational Director of the Consulate General of Italy.
